Abstract

|
This study was carried out to investigate the fasting secretin activity in normal subjects and patients with peptic ulcer in an attempt to clarify the pathophysiology of the peptic ulcer. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The secretin activity of the normal subjects was 34.2±15.7 pg/ml. 2. The secretin activity of the duodenal ulcer patients was 50.6±24.1 pg/ml. 3. The secretin activity of the gastric ulcer patients was 50.4±7.5 pg/ml.
